Barringer runs record mile - The Denver PostPublished by
University of Colorado junior Jenny Barringer has been to the Olympics and set a host of records, but she did something Saturday she hadn't done before: beat Texas Tech's Sally Kipyego. Barringer won the mile in 4 minutes, 25.91 seconds at the Big 12 indoor track and field championships in College Station, Texas, the fastest indoor time in the world this season. The time was a collegiate, conference, stadium and school record. "A Big 12 title is such a big deal to me," Barringer said.
